Everything you need to know about Dinham House, from first enquiry to your unforgettable celebration or stay
Where exactly is Dinham House located?
Dinham House is located on the North Coast of Cornwall overlooking the beautiful Camel Estuary. It is a short drive from the beaches of Rock and Polzeath and the market town of Wadebridge.
Do we get exclusive use of the estate for our wedding?
Absolutely! The estate is approximately 40 acres of pasture and woodland We can sleep up to 15 people in 2 cottages and 2 Shepherds Huts – each with their own hot tubs! The usual hire period is from 2 days before your wedding day and you can have the accommodation for as long as you like.
How do we book?
Once you have decided that Dinham is your perfect venue, we would ask for a deposit of £800 to secure the date.
Do we have to book all the accommodation?
We ask you to take the Coach House and Tregutt Cottage for a minimum of 4 nights and the Shepherds Huts for 3 nights.
Can we pay in instalments?
Absolutely. We would normally suggest spreading the payment over 3 instalments with the final payment being 3 months before your wedding/event.
Do I need a wedding co-ordinator?
When you book with us, you have a blank canvas to plan your special day the way you want and within budget. You do not need a wedding co-ordinator, we can give you lots of advice and help with suppliers. We can recommend a wedding co-ordinator which is always worth considering.
How do our guests get to and from the wedding venue?
We are located within a 10-15 drive of 6 churches and very close to Rock and Polzeath which have an abundance of accommodation. Guests are very welcome to drive and park here and leave cars overnight. We can also recommend bus companies that can transport guests home.
Can guests camp with you?
Guests are welcome to to camp but we do not have porta loos or showers. Directly opposite us there is a campsite that is fully equipped and only a 5 min stroll.
When must the music stop?
Our license allows live music until midnight.
Can we provide our own drinks?
Yes, you can provide your own drinks which we can take delivery of just before the wedding. It is advisable to have a bar and not allow guests to help themselves!
Are you licensed for a civil ceremony?
We are not able to hold legally binding civil ceremonies however we advise our couples to have a ‘legal’ ceremony before the date of their wedding party and this then allows them to have a ceremony here at Dinham designed by them, which can then have words and music of their choosing.
