Lara and Dan got married at Dinham House with 120 friends and family joining them for their special day.
Lara tells us all about their dream wedding, and why Dinham House was the most perfect venue for them… We looked at four different venues in the area for a place to create our dream wedding. We wanted a relaxed day rather than a big white wedding, and the location of Dinham House is second to none.
After first visiting Cornwall during a half term with the kids, we completely fell in love. It reminded me of home in South Africa, with all the beaches and coastal atmosphere. Our wedding had an African theme, with a safari-style tent, and beautiful native flowers. All our suppliers were recommendations from Fee Turner, our caterer who was introduced to us by Aldwin and Yasmina. It really helped that they all knew each other, it allowed the day to run smoothly and they all worked well together. It was like organising a big party.
Aldwin and Yasmina were fantastic. Such delightful hosts, and were so chilled about what we could do. Nothing was ever a problem. We rented The Coach House to stay in, and Yasmina found me everything I needed whilst I was getting ready for the big day, including printing our speeches.
They could not have been more efficient, and gave us such great advice. Aldwin was even moving hay bales on the morning of our wedding for us, and it was like everyone was mucking in. Yasmina and Aldwin grew to feel more like family, and we actually invited them to come to our wedding in the end. It was a wonderful day.
